The Race For Gen V (Photomanipulation)

The History Channel. History is an American basic cable and satellite television channel that is owned by A&E Networks, a joint venture between the Hearst Corporation and the Disney–ABC Television Group division of the Walt Disney Company. History Channel was looking for signage for their new documentary featuring fifth generation fighters and the arms race between the nations that build them.

CHALLENGE

The History Channel wanted the use of photography in their signage rather than illustrations or vector art. The challenge here was gathering the resources and then deciding on a concept to follow.

SOLUTION

I approached their design problem by having 3 photographs of the (known) crrently existing 5th generation fighters. The idea behind each of the fighters representing different views comes from a multiple view schematic (as seen here). I would say the concept works out in the end.

This was one of my first photoshop composites. The photography and logos used in this composite are property of their respected owners. This was not designed with the intent of infringing any copyrights, but for the sake of practicing photoshop.
