Raleway Specimen Book
Raleway: my favorite and most loved typeface of all time. Free, open-sourced, high quality, what more could you ask for? This is a tribute to my favorite typeface. Shout out to the league of movable type for making such a wonderful font.
CHALLENGE
This project was all about my typographic skills. How do I make this interesting and interesting, yet pleasing to the eyes? I needed a theme, and I chose quite a theme!
SOLUTION
Themed after the League of Movable type's website, I used direct quotes and the same strong language that the league features. They use such bold wording and language to flesh out why it is they outsource such high-quality fonts such as Raleway for example. I like to keep things simple but this was more of a visual risk for me. I played with type orientation and used grays to make things more interesting. I can say overall that I'm quite satisfied with the results of this tribute.
