Flight Of The Hornets (Photomanipulation)
Simply for the sake of making some framable artwork, I made this poster from a couple of photographs I took. The first being a picture of a hornet on display at the california science center, and the other being a picture of the sun taken at very high shutter speed. Safe to say this is one of my better composites.
CHALLENGE
The project itself was pretty easy, but I pushed myself in rendering it. The main challenges I faced was making this look so realistic that the common man could mistake it for a real photograph
SOLUTION
I met and surpassed my challenge by painting in the afterburners, lightly masking out some areas so that the lense flare would show up over the aircraft to create a sense of space, and lastly, by adding "heat warping" on the right side of the aircraft. I can definitely say that this is one of my finer composites.
